Sketch Book
While working on my graduation project, I made lots of sketches and wrote lots of pieces of text around them. They helped me navigate this big project I just started, and I had very much fun drawing each and every one of them. People told me they really liked the drawings, and that they made them laugh. So I thought: why not treat the sketches as something more than 'just' sketches? I decided to combine them and I created a self-published book.
This book consists of all the drawing I made during a period of four weeks and of some of the texts I wrote back then. I printed them on light, off-white paper which makes the pages look like a sketchbook, but fancier. The cover is supposed to remind the viewer of skin, because the booklet inside is all about what people can feel on the inside. I have torn the paper of the cover by hand, so the cover reveals a bit of what is underneath. The inside lies loosely in the cover and is hand bound by me with strong, beige thread.
